Mental Health Parity – Discussion with the DOL

Join us for a discussion with the DOL about the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act: an overview, applicability to group health plans, financial requirements, treatment limitations, benefits parity, and compliance tips and tools.
Nicole S. Kaufman is a Senior Benefits Advisor with the Employee Benefits Security Administration, in the Cincinnati Regional Office of the U.S. Department of Labor. She has been employed with the federal government starting as a Benefits Advisor since 2007, assisting participants of private- sector employee benefit plans understand their rights under ERISA, procuring voluntary compliance from employers, and developing and performing public outreach events throughout the tri-state area. Ms. Kaufman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana, and a Master of Arts in English from the University of Cincinnati. She also has the Group Benefits Associate designation through the “CEBS” (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) certification.
Registration begins at 11:30am to allow time for networking and socializing
Speaker presentations begin between 12:00pm – 12:15pm
Meetings normally conclude between 1:00pm – 1:15pm
