Nonqualified Retirement Plan Update
Jeffrey W. Kroh, Principal, Groom Law Group
Jeff Kroh’s practice focuses on counseling plan sponsors, financial institutions, and tax-exempt organizations regarding the design and administration of executive deferred compensation plans, annual and long-term bonus and incentive plans, equity compensation and phantom equity plans, and qualified retirement plans. In addition, his practice encompasses significant experience advising tax-exempt organizations on a broad range of tax and compliance issues, including group NIL licensing, tax-exempt structuring, UBIT and other related issues.
Since joining Groom in 2005, Jeff has worked extensively on executive compensation issues, involving traditional deferred compensation plans, supplemental executive retirement plans (SERPs), equity incentive plans, annual and long-term bonus and incentive plans, change in control and severance arrangements, employment agreements, and other top hat plan and rabbi trust design and compliance issues. Jeff regularly speaks on these topics at national conferences and webinars, and for the past 15 years, Jeff has been an adjunct professor in Georgetown Law School’s LL.M. program teaching a course on executive compensation topics.
