M&A Update (Focus on ESOPs)

Alberto Toribio del Pilar – Managing Director, ButcherJoseph & Co.

Albert is a Managing Director and a key member of the leadership team at ButcherJoseph & Co.  He is also a member of the Valuation Advisory Fairness Opinion Committee. He has over 20 years of global corporate finance, capital markets and ESOP experience at industry-leading investment banks. Albert holds FINRA 79 & 63 Licenses.

Albert began his career at Merrill Lynch where he helped execute over 50 equity and equity-linked investment offerings totaling more than $18 billion. He then joined the Credit Suisse capital markets group in New York where he collaborated on 45 public equity offerings totaling $6 billion. Afterwards, Albert joined the Sao Paolo office, working on cross-border mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to ButcherJoseph & Co., he was a member of the Global Industrials Group at Morgan Stanley, where he advised public and privately held companies on corporate finance, capital markets and the structuring and execution of shareholder liquidity transactions involving the sale of equity to employees, management, and private equity investors.

Albert was chosen as one of the Top 100 St. Louisans to Know to Succeed in Business in 2022 by St. Louis Small Business Monthly. In 2014, he was selected as a winner of The M&A Advisor’s 40 Under 40 Dealmaker Recognition Awards.  As a champion for employee ownership, Albert is a member of Employee-Owned S Corporations of America (ESCA), The ESOP Association (TEA) and the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO).

Albert graduated cum laude from Harvard College and holds a Master of Science degree in foreign policy from Georgetown University where he was recognized for academic excellence. He currently serves as Treasurer and Member of the Board of the St. Louis International Institute Community Development Corporation. He also served as Treasurer for the Glenridge Children’s Center.

Speaker presentations begin between 12:00pm – 12:15pm
Meetings normally conclude between 1:00pm – 1:15pm
Guests are welcome and encouraged to attend at a cost of $40. First time guests are free for the November meeting!  Please add your guest on the RSVP form.
