SAVE THE DATE for future meetings – November 14th\, December 7th. \nSECURE 2.0 Act Brings Major Retirement Plan Changes \nKaren McDonough & John Lucas\nUSI Consulting Group \nOn December 29\, 2022\, the SECURE 2.0 Act of 2022 (“SECURE 2.0”) was signed into law. SECURE 2.0 is an enhancement to the Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement (SECURE) Act of 2019.  SECURE 2.0 includes both mandatory and optional changes to the rules governing various types of retirement plans\, such as defined benefit plans\, 401(k) plans\, 403(b) plans\, governmental 457(b) plans and Individual Retirement Accounts (“IRAs”).  This presentation will focus on the key provisions of SECURE 2.0\, its challenges\, and observations from a service provider perspective. \nKaren McDonough is Chief Legal Officer and Practice Leader of the Regulatory and Compliance Department.  She is an attorney with over 30 years of experience in the retirement and employee benefits industry. \nJohn Lucas is Managing Consultant and a JD\, CPA\, and CPC.  He also has over 30 years of experience in employee benefits and is the go-to resource for complicated compliance matters. \nRegistration begins at 11:30am to allow time for networking and socializing\nSpeaker presentations begin between 12:00pm – 12:15pm\nMeetings normally conclude between 1:00pm – 1:15pm\nGuests are welcome and encouraged to attend at a cost of $40.
