Barnett ESQ\n\nAttorney\nGraydon\n  \n\n\n\nBIO:\nLyndsey is the Chair of the Graydon’s Business & Finance Department and was previously the Chair of the Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Practice Group.  One aspect of Lyndsey’s practice involves counseling employers with respect to the development of employee benefit strategies to assist in attracting\, motivating and retaining a high quality work force.  As a former tax associate for a Big Five accounting firm\, Lyndsey understand the cost and financial impact that benefit decisions have on a company’s bottom line.  Lyndsey takes a practical approach with clients and encourages them to be proactive with their benefit strategies.  She enjoys presenting on benefit topics and frequently does so both locally and regionally.\n\nSince the enactment of the Affordable Care Act\, a portion of Lyndsey’s practice has largely become focused on welfare benefit plans\, including self-insured medical\, dental\, prescription drug and vision plans\, as well as long and short-term disability plans\, cafeteria plans\, wrap plans\, and wellness programs.  While Lyndsey still works with employers on their qualified and non-qualified plan issues\, a substantial portion of the her day-to-day activity is spent on strategizing with clients on the ACA.\n\nLyndsey has assisted many employers with HIPAA compliance for their self-funded health plans.  She assists clients in developing HIPAA policies and procedures\, completing their risk assessment\, training their employees and reacting to breaches of protected health information.  Her knowledge of HIPAA also extends to providers\, especially in the long-term care community and business associates.\n\nLyndsey also counsels clients in designing\, administering and complying with the legal requirements of both qualified and non-qualified retirement plans.  She also assists financial institutions to ensure the services they provide to retirement plans are compliant with the law.  She reviews and prepares various legal documents\, including investment management agreements\, service agreements\, disclosures statements\, fee disclosures and various other communications.  She also partners with these clients to assist them in providing practical solutions for their clients” problems when issues arises in their retirement plans.\n\nLyndsey resides in Anderson Township with her spouse Dan\, and two children\, Alexa and Jaxson.  She loves to travel\, spend time with family and friends\, and watch sports.\n\n\n\n\nA few notes for our first LEBC Virtual Zoom Meeting:\n\n\n\nPlease set-up your Zoom access prior to so ensure quick entry to meeting\nAfter you RSVP please look for ZOOM invite to log-in to the meeting\nPlease Log-In to Zoom 10 to 15 minutes prior to meeting as we intend to start at Noon\nWe will conclude our meeting around 1:00pm with a Q&A session following\nGuests are welcome but we ask you allow us to extend invitation and they register for the event\nPlease contact Mindy Heck with questions as she will be hosting our Zoom meeting\n\n\nAt this point\, our plan is to resume our normal monthly meetings in September.   Please contact Mindy Heck with any questions as she will be operating the Zoom meeting.\n \nMindy Heck\nmheck@dmlo.com

DESCRIPTION:“Wellness Incentive Trends”\n  \nPresented by:\nDr. Andrei Javier\nMercer\nTotal Health Management Consultant\nBIO \nDr. Andrei Javier serves as a Senior Consultant Clinical Services and Total Health Management Consultant at Mercer.  In this role\, Dr. Javier supports clients as they navigate healthcare issues and as a clinical and planning and strategy resource\, working across the industries and clients that Mercer serves.  Andrei’s interests include increasing access to health care\, chronic disease management\, health policy analysis\, and developing innovative market solutions to help organizations improve and manage the health of their employees. \nPrior to joining Mercer\, Andrei conducted and managed clinical research while service as a post-doctoral research fellow in the Nephrology Division of Vanderbilt Medical Center.  Her work centered on creating risk prediction models\, clinical interventions\, and improving quality of care for chronic kidney disease\,  She has also performed clinical care optimizing work in cardiothoracic surgery at Yale University School of Medicine.  Her research has been published in peer reviewed journals including the New England Journal of Medicine\, the Journal for the American Society of Nephrology and the World Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery.  Andrei has also worked as a health policy analyst and advisor for a boutique consulting firm\, working with the Senate Finance Committee and the California State Legislature to develop and analyze innovative solutions to heath system problems.  She worked with clients on Medicaid and COBRA financing as well as international health systems benefits and alternative physician incentive models. \nAndrei earned her undergraduate degree in behavioral neuroscience from Yale University and an M.D. from Meharry Medical College.  She has studied health policy at the University off Copenhagen and was a visiting research fellow at the University of Bologna.  She was awarded the 2017 Nashville Emerging Leader Award in Medicine and Health Care Services by the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce.

Oringer is co-chair of Dechert’s ERISA and Executive Compensation group\, and leads the firm’s national fiduciary practice in New York. He counsels clients on their employee benefit plans and programs\, benefits-related tax matters and fiduciary issues arising in connection with the investment of employee benefit plan assets. \nMr. Oringer’s practice includes advising clients regarding ERISA and employee benefits generally\, including 401(k) and other retirement plans as well as medical and other welfare plans. His advice to clients encompasses all aspects of corporate transactions and initial public offerings in which benefits and compensation issues play a central part. He regularly counsels financial institutions and plan fiduciaries regarding investments\, and has been instrumental in designing complex investment structures to address difficult ERISA issues. \nMr. Oringer advises clients with respect to the design and implementation of arrangements relating to executive compensation\, including stock option and other equity-based arrangements. His practice extends to the representation of employers and executives in the negotiation of executive employment and termination agreements. \nNationally known for his experience with ERISA and matters relating to executive compensation\, Mr. Oringer is a frequent speaker and writer on a wide variety of topics. His written work includes the chapter on Releases in the Section 409A Handbook\, and the chapter on Investment Funds and ERISA in ERISA Fiduciary Law. Publications including The Wall Street Journal\, The New York Times\, The Financial Times\, Crain’s Pensions & Investments\, Newsday\, USA Today and The Chicago Sun Times have quoted him in articles on employee benefits issues. Prior to entering the private practice of law\, he provided plan design and consulting\, third-party administration and investment\, as well as retirement plan education services for clients. \nBret represents large\, medium and small employers with respect to many employee benefit matters\, including both single employer and multiple employer qualified retirement plans\, deferred compensation and welfare benefit plan matters. A significant portion of his practice involves plan compliance\, ERISA fiduciary best practices and plan corrections under IRS and Department of Labor compliance resolution programs. He also represents clients with respect to IRS plan examinations and Department of Labor plan investigations. \nBret is an active member of the Employee Benefits Committee of the Tax Section of Taxation of the American Bar Association\, the Tampa Bay Pension Council\, the Florida West Coast Employee Benefits Council\, and the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations (NAPEO). SUMMARY:2018 March Sub Council - Retirement Plans
DESCRIPTION:“Key Trends in Retirement Plans”\nPresented by:\nLawrence N. Vignola\nManaging Principal/Owner\nStable Two Financial LLC\nThis presentation will provide an overview of a number of key trends impacting retirement plans\, followed by a more in-depth look at fee benchmarking and the evolution of how companies pay for plan administration. \nLarry is the Managing Principal/Owner of Stable Two Financial LLC\, a registered investment adviser that is dedicated to improving the performance of institutional retirement plans. Prior to acquiring Stable Two Financial\, Larry spent thirteen years with Fidelity Investments in a variety of roles including Senior Vice President of Client Relationship Management\, SVP Marketing/Product Management\, and SVP-National Sales Manager. \nBefore his tenure with Fidelity\, Larry served in a variety of field and home office roles within the retirement and employee benefits divisions of Aetna Financial Services\, including Assistant Vice President of Guaranteed Products for Aetna Capital Management\, and Director of Product Management for Aetna’s full service defined contribution products. \nSupplementing his work with Stable Two Financial\, he has been a periodic speaker at Cincinnati Bar Association Employee Benefit Committee events on topics such as fee disclosure and due diligence process design. He was also a panelist for two years on a national webinar for attorneys focused on trends in retirement plan revenue sharing\, prudent due diligence processes\, and alternative pricing strategies. \nLarry has also focused on supporting his community and is currently a member of the Board of Trustees for Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park where he is a past Chair and President of the Board. His prior affiliations include: Trustee of the Contemporary Arts Center (Board Vice President); member of the Junior League of Cincinnati’s Community Advisory Council; a member of the Executive Cabinet of the 2009 Fine Arts Fund Campaign and an ex officio member of the Board of ArtsWave. \nHe received his B.S. degree in Marketing from Florida Southern College\, his Executive Certificate in Financial Planning from Xavier University\, and currently holds FINRA Series 7\, 22\, 26\, 63\, and 65 licenses.

In addition to retirement services\, Jim possesses exceptional knowledge of the professional employer organization (PEO) business and operating models. He has testified in front of the Senate HELP committee\, Senate Finance Committee and House Labor committee on coverage\, pooled employer plans\, state run plans and the fiduciary rule.
