DESCRIPTION:September 2020\n\nMonthly LEBC Meeting\nTuesday\, September 8th\nVirtual Meeting via ZOOM\n12:00 to 1:00pm\nPlease Select:  RSVP HERE\n* Once you RSVP\, we will e-mail you a ZOOM Invite to register for the event.\n \n “COVID-19 – Legal Updates for Benefit Plan Practitioners”\n\nPresented by:  \nLauren Crossett\n\nShareholder and Co-Leader\, Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation National Practice Group\nDentons\, Cohen & Grigsby P.C.\n  \n\n\n\nBIO:\nLauren is Co-Chair of the National Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Group.  She regularly assists clients with general employee benefits matters including regulatory compliance under PPACA (health care reform)\, the Internal Revenue Code and ERISA; drafting plan documents\, and plan summaries for tax-qualified and welfare benefit plans; and voluntary compliance matters for qualified plans under the Internal Revenue Service and Department of Labor correction programs.  A significant portion of Lauren’s practice is focused on providing employee benefits advice with respect to the Firm’s merger and acquisition\, private equity and mezzanine financing matters.  Lauren is also experienced in advising benefit plan fiduciaries on the ERISA implications of investing plan assets in alternative investment vehicles.\n\nLauren was most recently selected by her peers for inclusion in the 2018 and 2020 Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Starts list.  Lauren has authored many client alerts pertaining to employee benefits and executive compensation\, with a recent focus on the impact of the novel Coronavirus on benefit plan administration.  In addition\, Lauren is frequently sought out to provide educational programming and presentations for many of the Firm’s clients relating to employee benefits matters.\n\nLauren is actively involved in her community\, currently serving as the Secretary and form Chair of the Board of Trustees of Arsenal Family & Children’s Center\, a local nonprofit social service agency that promotes the healthy development of children and the formation of nurturing and healthy parent-child relationships through various programs and services.  Lauren is also a member of the New Leadership Council of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.  Further\, Lauren is a member of Dentons Cohen & Grigsby’s Retirement Plans Committee and a former member of the Firm’s Associates Committee.  She is also a member of and form President of the Colgate Alumni Club of Pittsburgh\, where she is actively involved in alumni activities in the Pittsburgh area.  Lauren resides in Pittsburgh\, Pennsylvania with her husband and young son.\n\n\nA few notes for the LEBC Virtual Zoom Meeting:\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease set-up your Zoom access prior to so ensure quick entry to meeting\nAfter you RSVP please look for ZOOM invite to log-in to the meeting\nPlease Log-In to Zoom 10 to 15 minutes prior to meeting as we intend to start at Noon\nWe will conclude our meeting around 1:00pm with a Q&A session following\nGuests are welcome but we ask you allow us to extend invitation and they register for the event\n\n\nPlease contact Mindy Heck with any questions she will be operating the Zoom meeting.\n \nMindy Heck\nmheck@dmlo.com
